The red wines harvested in the center and on the south side of the territory of Beaune are tannic and powerful; their color is generally dark, and their aromas both animal and fruity (berries). Harvested in the north, the wines, with a less intense color, have a nice suppleness. The wine of Les Grèves is, for many tasters, the great wine of Beaune par excellence.
