The dress is superb, intense purple. The bouquet, warm, reveals these "very Mouton" flavors of mocha embellished with praline, sweet spices and black fruits (blackberry juice). The marriage of fruit and wood here becomes infinitely subtle. We find these well-typed coffee aromas and these nuances of ripe fruit in an ample, suave, unctuous, all-round palate. But that shouldn't be misleading: it's an iron fist in a velvet glove; the straightforwardness is there, the tannins are dense, firm and tight, and the finish is infinitely long.
