Very smoky, with aromas of berries, coffee and tobacco. Full-bodied, with polished, velvety tannins, lots of fruit and a cedar aftertaste. It is better than the Mouton 2000. It is a baby Mouton 1986. Solid and very, very fine. Lingers long in the mouth.

For the Mouton Rothschild 2001 label, Bob Wilson chose to stage his Philippine friend in a symphony of colors, where the green of the vines and the gold of the sun marry with the chromatic range of the wine, from the light red to deep purple.
