A stressful and almost “tropical” vintage, marked by lower rainfall and temperatures well above normal, and also by a severe episode of hail in July and by virulent mildew. In the end, a powerful and expressive wine, open on very ripe fruits (peach, plum, pineapple) and fresh almonds mixed with a well-integrated oak. On the palate, a rich, full-bodied, creamy, velvety Sauternes, dominated by an intense roast, with a fine acidity on the finish that enhances the whole.
